Funeral services for William Gordon “Bill” Robison, of Turley, were held Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Home in Sperry, OK. Reverend Dale Nielsen officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Military Honors were given by the US Army Reserve Unit from Broken Arrow, OK.
Bill was born June 24, 1936 in Turley, OK to William and Alene (Gordan) Robison. He passed away June 7, 2012 in Claremore, OK at the age of 75.
Bill worked as a welder and was employed at Slagle manufacturing for 25 years. He married Sharon Francis in 1975 and helped to raise Lindel and Tim Fields. He loved to go hunting an fishing. He also enjoyed reading, playing dominoes, and was a big sports fan. Bill loved the St. Louis Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. He treasured his time spent with his grandkids.
He is survived by his sons, Timothy Fields of Tulsa, Lindel Fields and wife Leigh Ann of Tulsa, Jay Robison and wife April of Skiatook, and Michael Robison of Skiatook; sisters, Carolyn Shulte of Osawatomie, KS, and Linda Laird and husband Blake of Honey Grove, TX; brother, Carl Robison and wife Ellen of Belle Paine, IA; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alene Robison; and brother, James Robert “Bob” Robison.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
