William Luke “Bill” Johnson, of Billings, OK, formerly of Anchorage, AL, 71, was born February 17, 1951, in Fort Smith, AR. He passed away November 19, 2022, in Claremore, OK.

He grew up around the Talihina, and Ponca City, OK areas. He attended Ponca City schools until he graduated in 1969. Bill then joined the Army and served in the state of Alaska. Once out of the Army, Bill stayed in Alaska and was an auto mechanic and began racing his GTO car. He won several races and was an awesome auto mechanic we are told.  Bill also was an avid reader of Louis L’Amour books. He then decided to move back to Oklahoma to be near his oldest brother, Bob

Bob and his wife and Bill then settled in Blackwell, OK until Bill was no longer able to live alone. Then Bill was with his brother Bob and his wife, Fern until he was able to move into Claremore Veterans Home in OK, where he was well taken care of and fished and enjoyed sitting in sun near the pond. Bill will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace.

Bill leaves behind a son, grandchildren, his brother, sister-in-law, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Landon Charles Johnson and Edna Fay (Hogan) Johnson.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
