William Bert Gage

Funeral services for William Bert Gage, 87, of Skiatook, OK, were held Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Community of Christ Church in Skiatook, OK. The Gage Family officiated, and burial was in Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Casket bearers were Christopher Remington, Denton Gage, Brent Remington, Jamie Ward, and Joshua Remington. Honorary Casket bearers were Jon Gage and Jared Gage.

Bert was born August 24, 1932 in Porum, OK to Joe Cleo and Myrtle Mae (Hudson) Gage. He passed away January 26, 2020 in Bartlesville, OK.

Bert was an oilfield equipment machinist for 20th Century Manufacturing and Supply Company for 42 years. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church and pastored numerous congregations. He held the office of Evangelist in the Community of Christ priesthood. Bert coached his sons in baseball and was a member of the 20th Century bowling team. Bert enjoyed fishing, watching championship wrestling, cheering for the OU Sooners, bird watching, tinkering with small engines, traveling, supporting his grandkids and great-grandkids’ sports and school activities, reading and studying the Bible, sharing God’s word, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Randall Gage and wife, Cathy of Phoenix, AZ, Denise Remington and husband, Michael of Bartlesville, and Steven Gage and wife, Jodi of Owasso; seven grandchildren, Christopher Remington and wife Caitlin of Keller, TX, Jon Gage and wife, Kitty of Scottsdale, AZ, Brent Remington and wife, Summer of Tulsa, Joshua Remington and wife Jamee of Skiatook, Denton Gage of Sperry, Jamie Ward and husband, Mickey of Claremore and Jared Gage of Phoenix, AZ; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Gage of Independence, MO; sister, Glenda Spencer and husband, Richard of Independence, MO; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Frances Marie (Hogue) Gage; parents, Joe and Myrtle Gage; brother, Ronald Gage; and sisters, Betty Branyon and Shirley Rowden; brothers in law, Bill Branyon and Bob Rowden.
