William Edgar Dickerson

Graveside Services for William Edgar Dickerson, 88, of Sperry, were held Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Okmulgee Cemetery in Okmulgee, OK. Pastor Mike Albert officiated. Casket Bearers were Chris Dickerson, Steven Dickerson, Greg Parks, Matt Dickerson and Kevin Dickerson. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

William was born August 2, 1921 in Okmulgee, OK to William Alonzo and Georgia (Brown) Dickerson. He passed away March 14, 2010 in Tulsa, OK.

Bill was a retired pharmacist who owned a T. Roy Barnes drug store in north Tulsa. He was a member of Yale Avenue Christian Church in Tulsa. Bill was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of the Pilgrim Rock #522 Lodge. He liked to travel and play golf. He also enjoyed going fishing, playing dominoes and spending time with family.

He is survived by his sons, Richard Dickerson and wife Kathy of Sperry and Steve Dickerson and wife Carrie of Sperry; 6 grandchildren, Staci Dickerson of Sperry, Matt Dickerson and wife Katie of Tulsa, Kevin Dickerson and fiancee Krista Upton of Owasso, Chris Dickerson and wife Stephanie of Sperry, Steven Dickerson and wife Jessica of Sand Springs, and Chelsea Parks and husband Greg of Skiatook; 4 great-grandchildren, Courteney, Jeremy, Nolan, and Laiton; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Dickerson and four sisters.
