Funeral Services for Warren Gene Davis, 86, of Skiatook, were held Wednesday, April, 28, 2010 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Dale Neilsen officiated and burial was in the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Casketbearers were Jimmy Taylor, Clovis Richards, B.J. Richards, Ed Stuck, Fred Tobin, and Tom Thomas. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Warren was born August 10, 1923 in Skiatook, OK to Cyrus Melton and Nettie Ann (Shaffer) Davis. He passed away April 24, 2010 in Skiatook, OK.

Warren was born and raised on the Phillips/Keener Oil lease southeast of town and across the old spoon ford bridge. Warren attended school in Skiatook and worked in the oil fields as a tool dresser. He married Vivian Doreen Taylor in Tulsa, OK on September 19, 1942. In May of 1943 he was drafted into the United States Army where he served in Korea and Okinawa with the 520th Combat Engineers Maintenance Company. In 1953, Warren and Doreen purchased a home in the Russell Addition and raised their 4 children there: Barbara Jean, Rebecca Sue, Richard Warren, and Randall Jack. Warren was loved by many and will be missed by all of his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Jean Davis and Rebecca Sue Keeling; son, Richard Warren Davis; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter, Lily, who was the love of his life; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Doreen Davis; and son, Randall Jack Davis.
