Funeral services for Wanda Mae Barnes, 86, of Sperry, were held Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Reverend Don Queen and Reverend Andy Anquoe officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Thomas Sanders, James Sanders, Tim Teel, Dan Rutledge, Randy Rutledge, and Larry Teel. Honorary casket bearers were John Hayman and Mark Rutledge.
Wanda was born October 1, 1924 in Tulsa, OK to Stephen Douglas and Minnie (Boyer) Hayman. She passed away January 9, 2011 in Tulsa, OK.
She worked as a food service employee at Cities Service Oil and Gas and First Baptist Church in Sperry. She was also a dedicated lifelong member for the Women’s Mission at First Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors; especially fishing and roller skating when she was younger.
She is survived by her children, Don Barnes and wife Janine of Skiatook, Carolyn Teel and husband Richard of Sperry, Floyd Barnes and wife Linda of Sperry, Larry Barnes and wife Javada of Skiatook, Terry Barnes of Sperry, and Steven Barnes of Sperry; grandchildren, Ronda, Ronnie, Tim, Debbie, Larry Allen, Brian, Jared, Lindsey, Ryan, Terry, Ashley, Michel, and Robbie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Barnes; and parents, Stephen and Minnie Hayman.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
