Memorial services for Wallace Wayne “Wally” Richardson, 64, of Sand Springs, OK, were held Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend J.D. Miller officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Paul “Junior” Richardson, Chris Wallace, Jackie Wallace, Wade Wallace, Billy Joe Wingfield, Noah Richardson, Bronson Watts, Myles Finney, Tracy Finney, David Finney, and Roy Cornell.
Wally was born September 16, 1958, in Claremore, OK, to Paul W. Richardson and Maxine S. (Conatzer) Richardson. He passed away July 26, 2023, in Tulsa, OK.
He had no biological children of his own but had multiple nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. During Wally’s working years, he was a machinist at Centerline. Many years ago, he became disabled after losing his right leg in an auto accident. He was a resilient man who never let that be an excuse to quit and most people he met didn’t even know he was disabled. He was a Native American Craftsman who enjoyed creating dream catchers and jewelry. His favorite hobby was fishing, and he also enjoyed watching wrestling, listening to rock and roll music, and hanging out with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta Sue Richardson; stepson, Roy Cornell; brother, Paul “Junior” Richardson and wife, Charlene; nieces and nephews, Billy Joe Wingfield, Jamie Cole, Paul Richardson, Margaret Dean, Noah Richardson, Chris Wallace and wife, Melisha, Bronson Watts, Clarinda Reheard, Myles Finney, Tracy Finney, and David Finney; great-nephews, Jackie Wallace and Wade Wallace; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Maxine Richardson. sisters, Alice Marie Bolding, Carol Jean Belty, Christine Belle Wallace; and nephew, Jackie Lee Wallace.
