Funeral services for Virginia Mae (Vaughn) Morrison, 72, of Sperry, were held Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Darryl DeBorde officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Jeff Morrison, Gregg Felts, Robert Utley, Sammy May Earnie Sebree, Jesse Snelson, J.J. Baldwin, J.D. Morrison, and Bradley Morrison.
Virginia was born March 4, 1938 in Sperry, OK to Alfred Clarence “Cokie” and Lola Mae (Downs) Vaughn. She passed away November 29, 2010 in Tulsa, OK.
Virginia worked as a technician at Zebco. When she was a teenager she worked at Kress’s Department Store at the candy counter. She also worked at the Odd Fellow Home in the medical office. She loved to collect clowns, roosters, and elephants. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, camping, and fishing with her morning coffee boiled on the campfire.
She is survived by her children, Debi Morrison and Gregg, Jeff Morrison and wife Jessica, Pam Utley and husband Robert, Clarissa “Peanut” Sebree and husband Earnie; grandchildren, Sammy, Robyn, Melissa, J.D., Bradley, Cory, Ginny, Ashley, J.J., Kimmie, Andrew, and Kaylee; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Grant, Sarah, Kelsey, Felicity, Zoe, and Nevaeh; brother, Ronald Vaughn; sister, Barbara Quinton; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffie Dennis Morrison; parents, Cokie and Lola Mae Vaughn; and brother, Donald Vaughn.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
