Virgil Ray Mayabb

Memorial services for Virgil Ray Mayabb, 89, of Skiatook, OK, were held Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at First Baptist Church – W. Rogers Campus in Skiatook, OK. Reverend Dale Nielsen and Pastor Lynda Ward officiated, and a private family interment will be held at a later date.

Virgil was born June 26, 1933, in Skiatook, OK, to Frank Edward Mayabb and Helen (Odle) Mayabb. He went to be with his Lord on December 20, 2022, in Skiatook, OK.

Virgil born and grew up in Skiatook and graduated from Skiatook High School in 1953. While attending OU, he met and married Martha Jean Jimerson. They had two daughters, Kathi, and Cami. Virgil used his degree in Petroleum Engineering to work in the oil industry in Oklahoma. He lived in the Miami, Claremore, and Skiatook areas during his lifetime. His personal business was located here in Skiatook near his parents. Virgil was married to “Jeanie” Mayabb until her passing. Virgil worked for Sun Oil Company in his later years, where he met his wife, Linda. Virgil and Linda were married on December 9, 2004. They have been inseparable ever since.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Mayabb; daughter, Kathi Woodard and husband, Steve; Linda’s children, Robert Fazendine and wife, Tina and Phillip Fazendine and wife, Lisa; granddaughter, Micki Neal and husband, Leroy; grandsons, Austin Woodard, Matt Fazendine and wife, Jodie, and Mitchell Fazendine; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jean Mayabb; daughter, Cami Mayabb; granddaughter, Alicia Woodard; and parents, Frank and Helen Mayabb.

Memorial donations in Virgil’s memory may be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
