Funeral Services for Viola Louise Waylan, 80, of Mounds were held on Tuesday August 5, 2008 in the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry. Bernadine Carter officiated and burial was in the Porter Cemetery at Porter. She was born on July 5, 1928 in Porter, OK to Henry and Bertha Mae (Humphrey) Bristol. She died on August 2, 2008 in Mounds at the age of 80 years, 29 days. Pallbearers were Will Brown, Jason Hendrix, Tom Pickett, Mark Hibbs and Rod Wiley. She was a homemaker. She loved to watch wrestling, sewing quilts and being with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include four daughters, Peggy Moss, Kermita Britton and Sandra Brown all of Mounds and Mary Cannady of Glenpool; 10 grandchildren Tiffany Martin of Tulsa, Jackie Britton of Beggs, Will Brown of Tulsa, Brenda Pickett of Beggs, Paula Johnson of Edmond, Nikki Wiley of Beggs, Cheryl Leon of Tulsa, Jerry Moss of Chelsea, Kimberly Moss of Tulsa and Shawn Moss of Chelsea 23 great grandchildren, and a sister Myrtle Eades of Turley She was preceded in death by her husband, William Moss, and her parents, Henry and Bertha Bristol.
