Vickie Gayle Benningfield

Graveside services for Vickie Gayle (Hanlin) Benningfield, 68, of Claremore, OK, were held Friday, October 29, 2021, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Mr. John Cloud officiated. Casket bearers were Anthony Benningfield, Jon Aaron Carrico, Chance Massa, Luke Osborne, Chandler “C.J.” Massa, and James Ham, Jr. Honorary Casket bearers were Gabriella Bartelme, Jaden Rowe, and Cheyenne Massa.

Vickie was born February 2, 1953, in Tulsa, OK, to George Eugene “Gene” Hanlin and Mildred Yvonne (Giles) Gross. She passed away October 22, 2021, in Tulsa, OK.

Vickie was employed at Wal-Mart in Claremore. She was of the non-denominational Christian faith and was a Cherokee Nation citizen. She loved spending time wither her family, especially her grandkids, and new great-grandson, Dorian. Vickie enjoyed posting on her Facebook, and loved spending time with her best friends, Colleen and Connie, and JoAnn, who was a part of her Wal-Mart family.

She is survived by her husband, Darel; children, Brandy, Sherry, and Anthony; grandkids, Chance, Cheyenne, Chandler “C.J.”, Gabriella and Jaden; great-grandson, Dorian; sister, Susan; nephews, Jon Aaron, Luke and Jason; niece, Amanda; aunt, Mary Jane Hanlin; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene Hanlin and wife, Phyllis, and Mildred (Giles) Gross.

Memorial donations in Vickie’s memory may be made to the Vian Peace Center, P.O. Box 258, Vian, OK 74962.
