Tyler Dewayne Jones

Funeral Services for Tyler Dewayne Jones, 3 months, of Sperry, were held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Sperry Christian Church in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Adam Stang officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were Matt Pruitt, Mike McIntosh, Mike Teel, Dakota Chuculate, Mike Grigsby, and Mike Hammon. Honorary Casket Bearers were Tom McGinnity, Tony McCollom, Bill Preslar, Jacob Myers, Kenny Lawrence, Korey Wilson, and Chris Stafford. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Tyler was born September 10, 2013 in Owasso, OK to Tyler Wayne and Lindsey Dawn (Dedmon) Jones. He passed away January 7, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.

Tyler was a wonderful and well-loved baby. He liked bright colors and bright lights. Tyler loved kisses from his big brother, Jasper. He loved listening to music and snuggling close with his aunts. In his short time, he made great lasting memories for his family. Tyler enjoyed car rides, bouncing, and his soft cuddle blankets. He loved being with and being loved by his parents.

He is survived by his parents, Tyler and Lindsey Jones of Sperry; brothers, Jasper of the home, and Kaden of Tulsa; grandparents, Larry and Sheila Dedmon of Sperry; Dawn and Kenny Hacker of Glenpool, and Larry Jones of Tulsa; great-grandparents, L.D. Dedmon of Skiatook, Barbara Webster of Sperry, Carol and Jackie Webster of Sperry, and Linda “Poot-Poot” Woodum of Sperry; special grandparents, Tom and Claudia McGinnity, and Morrell Jones; aunts, Chasity Teel and husband Mike of Sperry, Jaclyn Grigsby and husband Mike of Owasso, Becky Pruitt and husband Matt of Sperry, Tiffany Jones of Glenpool, Tabby Haney of Glenpool, Taylor Scheulen of Sperry, and Jessica Bendall and husband Josh of Warner Robinson, GA; uncles, Mike Hammon of Sperry; god-parents, Jacob and Amanda Myers; and many other wonderful family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandma, Virginia Ann Dedmon; great-great-grandma, Violet Mitchell; grandma, Peggy Wentz; grandpa, Paul Woodum; uncle, Zoh Jones; and cousins, Derrek Hansen, Keith Wilson, Joshua Turley, Brandon Romines, and Corey Dedmon.
