Memorial Services for Thomas Leroy Plummer, Sr., 78, of Eucha, were held Friday, June 4, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Thomas Leroy Plummer, Jr. officiated and burial was in the Mose Ridge Cemetery in Cloeta, OK. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
Thomas was born January 10, 1932 in Eucha, OK to Delbert Plummer and Cecil (Simmons) Buzzard. He passed away May 28, 2010 in Tulsa, OK.
Thomas got the nickname "Scooter" when he was a baby. He served in the United States Army from 1947-1949. Thomas worked in construction during his youth and he drove trucks after that. He worked for 18 years as a warehouseman for Safeway. Thomas was a retired Teamster. He spent his later years at his home in Eucha, Oklahoma. He was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation Indians. Thomas was a hard working man with a heart as big as Texas. He loved to help someone in need and did it often. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his children, Patrick Plummer and wife Karen of OR, Thomas Plummer, Jr. of Tulsa, and Tami Plummer-Stevenson of Broken Arrow, grandchildren, Taryn Stevenson, Tyler Stevenson, Beige Plummer, Jordan Plummer, Chance Plummer, Pierce Plummer, Kansas Plummer, and Heather Williams; great-grandchildren, Abey Huff, Jaycee Huff, and Adrienne Huff; sisters, Jewel White and Pat Baker; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Plummer; mother, Cecil Buzzard; brother, Robert Williams; and sister, Linda Weaver.
