Witcher, and Pastor Lyle Columbus Headrick officiated, and burial was in Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Bro. Joseph Weiskopf delivered the eulogy. Casket bearers were Terry Daniel Ashlock, Jesse Lee Ashlock, Memphis Daniel Ashlock, Elbert Watts, Roger McMillian, Shane Philips, Dillon Glassco, Matt Gravil, and Steven Carl Smith.

Terry and his twin brother, Larry, were born on July 31, 1958, to Donald Chester Ashlock and Vida Mae (Kendrick) Ashlock. He passed away November 30, 2024, at his sister's home in Fletcher, OK. Terry was born and raised in the Turley area and attended Cherokee Elementary, Monroe Junior High and McLain High School. In 1968, his mother married Ralph Dewitt Turley who became the father figure in his life. There were no blurred lines of step parenting or half siblings in the Turley household. We were one family. The Ashlock boys, often known as "the twins" were close brothers. Don, Larry and Terry maintained a love and friendship all the years of their life, often working together on travel jobs. Terry followed his brothers to Sperry United Pentecostal Church under the late Reverend Earl Jones where he received the gift of the holy ghost. Soon after, he often led songs during church services. There were years when Terry was the only member of his family serving the lord. In later years, his faith led him to the United Pentecostal Church in Skiatook under Reverend Jim Crain. He and Bro. Joe would often go to lunch after Sunday service, sharing their life stories and common love for the Lord. As years gone by, Terry's faith and love in the Lord was unwavering. His boys often talk about their dad going to his knees, leading them in prayer to seek God's guidance when times were hard or wayward. It was common for Terry to drive the homeless areas of Tulsa, ensuring the safety or a warm meal for a beloved member of his family. When his stepfather passed, Terry was reliable caretaker of his aging mother, calling her daily and providing her company. Terry was kind, compassionate and tender hearted toward his friends and family. He lived life free of ego or judgment. He and the love of his life, Dayna Sue Horsechief, were married on May 5, 1978, in Sperry at the very tender ages of 19 and 16 years old. As young love would have it, their story was not always an easy one, but the love and devotion to one another was undeniable. In 1984, Terry and Dayna purchased property west of Skiatook where they resided for 37-years before her passing. Together they built a legacy surrounded by their growing family of four children and seven grandchildren. He loved his wife's gardening skills, the land where they built their home, fishing for crappie and most importantly, spending time with his family. They were about to celebrate 44 years together when she passed in 2022. Terry worked as a combo pipe fitter and welder for many years, and even traveled on the road, owning a rig and taught his son, Jesse, about pipefitting. He retired as a machinist from McKissick in 2022. He taught his son, Terry Daniel, to be a machinist at J&D Machine Shop in North Tulsa and they worked together there for 5 years. His daughter, Lisa's fondest memory was how he would spend time playing with her and her brothers even after a long day of work. Terry enjoyed gathering at his twin house for an annual sibling reunion each summer or the Kendrick cousin's family reunion. His sisters remember the practical joker who would do about anything to instigate laughter and fear. He celebrated a full Thanksgiving meal at his sister, Kim's home in Catoosa, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Terry mentioned how grateful he was to those who stopped by to visit him the last 3 weeks, unexpectedly that his journey was almost over. He was touched by everyone's expression of love and friendship. Just before he passed away in his sleep, Terry was singing songs he favored his in playlist. He grieved for his lost family.

He is survived by his son, Terry Daniel Ashlock and Kimberly Looney-Ashlock, Claremore; daughter, Lisa Marie Ashlock, Skiatook; son, Jesse Lee Ashlock, Sperry; grandchildren, Kailen Shiane Ashlock, Sperry; Ariana Danielle Ashlock, Claremore; Athaca Denise Ashlock, Irving, Tx; James Andrew Kleemer, South Dakota; Memphis Daniel Ashlock, Claremore; Olivia Belle Ashlock, Claremore; and Lillian Marie Cavanaugh, Skiatook; sisters, Sharla Turley-Hildner and Ronald Hildner, Fletcher; and Kimberly Turley-Smith and Steven Carl Smith, Catoosa; brother-in-law, Gary Lee Horsechief; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in his journey by his beloved wife, Dayna Sue (Horsechief) Ashlock; son, Stevie Ray Ashlock; brothers, Donald Ray Ashlock and Larry Lee Ashlock; mother, Vida Mae (Kendrick) Ashlock-Turley; stepfather, Ralph Dewitt Turley; and father, Donald Chester Ashlock.
