Steven Blaine Loether

Funeral Services for Steven Blaine Loether, 59, of Sperry, were held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phillip Johnson officiated and a private family committal followed. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Steven was born June 11, 1955 in Independence, KS to Neal and Ruby (Batman) Loether. He passed away July 25, 2014 in Sperry, OK.

Steven graduated from Independence High School in Independence, KS and went on to welding school at Kansas State College in Pittsburg, KS. He worked as a mail handler and a postman at the Tulsa post office for 37 years.

He is survived by his children, Shelby Bledsoe and husband James of Rogersville, MO, Michael Blaine Loether of the home, Lesia Webb and husband Chris of Owasso, Richard Ortiz and wife Amber of Sperry, and Raymond Ortiz and wife Shawna of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Stratton James Bledsoe, Bishop Ortiz, Gabe Ortiz, Braxton Ortiz, Berkley Ortiz, Mya Hilderbrand, and Tye Webb; brother, Kenneth Loether of Houston, TX; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Ruby Loether; and sons, Mason Blaine Loether (infant), and Alexander Reid Loether.
