Shelly Renee (Cohea) Herring, 62, of Collinsville, OK, was born June 22, 1962, in Claremore, OK, to Cleborn Bill Cohea and Virginia Mae (Corley) Payton. She passed away March 5, 2025, in Collinsville, OK.

Shelly cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved “more than dirt”—and she loved her some dirt, as she often said. Her love extended to all of her family and friends, with whom she found endless joy and laughter.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Herring; daughter, Jennifer Reed and husband, Paul; sons, Billy Herring and wife, Barbara, and Noah Herring; grandkids, Tyler Walters, Kaden Reed, Skylar Herring, Keegan Herring, Zoie Reed, Madison Herring, Emery Herring, Kenna Pauley, and Kember Herring; brothers, Dan Cohea and wife, Thora, and David Cohea; sisters, Sandy Gourd and husband, David, Becky Cummisky, and Carolyn Crain; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Roger Herring; father, Bill Cohea; and mother, Virginia Payton.
