Funeral services for Sharin Kay (Jones) Hopkins, of Kansas, OK were held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Kansas, OK. Brother Terry Wofford officiated and a private family interment will follow at a later date in Kansas Cemetery in Kansas, OK. Casket bearers were Chris Vandever, Jimmy Rankin, Joey Hayworth, Jeff Pruitt, Jamie Granderson, and Adam Bradley.
Sharin was born May 17, 1947 in Hood Ridge, OR to Albert Fay and Matilda Elizabeth (Pry) Jones. She passed away November 7, 2012 in Fayetteville, AR at the age of 65.
Sharin worked for Franklin Electric. She also worked for a nursing home, and as a Home Health Aide. Sharin was passionate about many things in life. She loved glamour photography and fashion styles, and loved to go to the flea markets and concessions. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, arts and crafts, going out to eat with friends and family, and traveling. Sharin especially loved spending time with her grandkids and visiting with friends and family.
She is survived by her son, Bryon Hunter of Rogers, AR; daughter, Lisa Pruitt of Kansas, OK; son-in-law, Don Abshier of Rogers, AR; grandchildren, Destiny Morgan of West Siloam Springs, OK, Cassie Gardner of Kansas, OK, Cierra Pruitt of Kansas, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many adopted relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Morgan; brother, Alva Jones; sister, Judy Vandever; brother-in-law, Floyd Vandever; and parents, Albert and Matilda Jones.
