Sandra Jo Hite

Funeral Services for Sandra Jo "Jody" Hite, 67, of Turley, were held Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Turley, OK. Brother Al Shults officiated and a private family interment followed. Honorary Casket Bearers were Michael Paul Johnson, Butch Charles Peterson, Joseph Christopher Peterson, William Dean Trammell, Benjamin Ray Hite, and Micheal David Speer. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Jody was born April 30, 1941 in Tulsa, OK to Emmett Crabtree and Cherry (Shanafelt) Stopper. She passed away March 14, 2009 in Turley, OK.

She was a retired tax accountant and worked as a waitress. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Turley and a member of the Turley Lions Club. She was well known in the community for her volunteer work for the Turley Heritage Days. She was loved by all and will be remembered in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Speer and husband David of Bartlesville, Douglas Hite and wife Cheryl of Catoosa, Chryssee Rice and husband Harold of Tulsa, Carla Corr and husband Robert of AZ, Frances Jo Reed and husband Alan of Turley, and Kathy Nall and husband Robert of FL; grandchildren, Butch Peterson, Michael Peterson, Christopher Peterson, Jennifer Jobe, Joshua Jobe, William Trammell, Melissa Speer, Michael Speer, Benjamin Hite, Alex Nall, James Nall, and Elizabeth Nall; great-grandchildren, Maddison, Dakota, Harold, Brooklynn, Cheyenne, and Lily; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Earl "Dutch" Hite; daughter, Lana Smith; grandson, Matthew K Speer; parents, Emmett Crabtree and Cherry Stopper; and brothers, Billie Eugene Crabtree and Paul Edward Crabtree.
