Sandra Kay “Sandy” Bratton Cory was born November 30, 1944, in Tulsa, OK, to Joseph Gordon Bratton and Beatrice Jenive (Hollandsworth) Lyles. She passed away July 31, 2023, in Tulsa, OK.
Sandy, in her own words, stated “I lived and had fond memories. The only real meaningful memories that really stand out to me are the birth of my children, my marriage to Virgil, and the precious dogs that we’ve had over the years. All the rest was just preparing me for this day.” Sandy was proud of her Native American heritage and was a member of the Osage and Quapaw nations. She retired from Mid-America Pipeline Company (MAPCO) and worked with the Osage County Election Board. She was also the past secretary, treasurer and supporter of the Blackdog Fire Department, and an advocate for women’s and children’s domestic violence organizations.
She is survived by her husband, Virgil Cory; children, Ronald Teel, and Leslea Teel; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Paula B. Butler; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracee Irene; father, Joseph Bratton; mother, Beatrice Lyles; and sister, Barbara Bennett.

A celebration of Sandy's life and graveside committal was held on September 9, 2023 at the Bratton-Cory Family Residence and Cemetery, in Tulsa, OK. Jonathon Gibson officiated.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
