Funeral services for Samuel Luna Castro, 36, of Tulsa, OK, were held Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Iglesia Eficaz (Effective Church) in Tulsa, OK. Pastor Jairo Castro officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Daniel Luna Castro, Ruben Luna Castro, Alejandro Luna Castro, Robert Day, Israel Luna Castro, and Eric Day. Honorary Casket bearers were Felipe Carillo, Edwin Archaga, Dominic Luna, and Javier Castro.

Samuel was born August 10, 1988, in Iztacalco, (Mexico City), Mexico to Marcelino and Noelia Luna Castro. He passed away December 6, 2024, in Catoosa, OK.

Samuel was a sandblaster at Sooner Coating in Catoosa. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and sons, taking the boys shopping at Wal-Mart, playing on the PlayStation, and spending time with his brothers, cooking and grilling. He also loved watching tv, wrestling, and movies. He also enjoyed his down time and sleeping. 

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Day Luna; children, Oliver Luna Day, and Gabriel Luna Day; father, Marcelino Luna; mother, Noelia Castro; siblings, Daniel Luna Castro, and Alejandro Luna Castro, Israel Luna Castro and Ruben Luna Castro; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carmelo Luna, Ramona Lopez, Antelmo Castro, and Consuelo Carjahal; and parents-in-law, Orvall W. and Linda Day.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su esposa y sus hijos, llevar a los niños de compras a Wal-Mart, jugar a la PlayStation y pasar tiempo con sus hermanos, cocinando y asando a la parrilla. También le encantaba ver televisión, luchar y ver películas. También disfrutaba de su tiempo libre y dormir.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Marilyn Day Luna; sus hijos, Oliver Luna Day y Gabriel Luna Day; su padre, Marcelino Luna; su madre, Noelia Castro; sus hermanos, Daniel Luna Castro y Alejandro Luna Castro, Israel Luna Castro y Rubén Luna Castro; numerosos parientes políticos, sobrinos, sobrinas, tías, tíos y primos; y muchos otros familiares y amigos.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus abuelos, Carmelo Luna, Ramona López, Antelmo Castro y Consuelo Carjahal; y sus suegros, Orvall W. y Linda Day.
