Funeral Services for Ruth Hayes Taylor, 85, of Tulsa, OK, were held Saturday December 5, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Turley. The Reverend Kelly Goins and Army Chaplin (Captain) R. Andrew Taylor officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were Jason Cantrell, Brian Cantrell, Lucas Tipton, Robert Cantrell, John Taylor, Tim Taylor. Honorary Casketbearers were Mark Taylor, Jerrid Cook, Josh McGee, Dennis Clark, James Shaw, and Bruce Adkins. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Ruth Hayes Taylor was born May 5, 1924 in Valley View, TX to Irvin and Dorothy (Hobbs) Hayes. She passed away December 3, 2009.

She worked as a "Rosie Riveter" at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Corporation during WWII. Later, she worked at Century Geophysical Corporation and retired from TG & Y. She was an active member at Faith Assembly of God Church in Tulsa, OK. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons; Danny Irvin Taylor and wife Donna Sue of Sperry and Roger Warren Taylor and wife Stacy Dawn of Broken Arrow; Grandchildren, Danna Ann Lingo of New Port Richey, FL, John H. Taylor of Chelsea, Army Chaplin (Captain) R. Andrew Taylor of Ft. Bragg, NC, Amy Renee Adkins of Tulsa, Sherry Michelle Taylor of Skiatook, Mark Allen Taylor of Owasso, Kimberly Dawn Tipton of Tulsa, Joshua David McGee of Tulsa, Erin Christine Cook of Broken Arrow, Kathleen Renee Clark of Coweta; 16 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Warren H. Taylor; parents, Irvin and Dorothy (Hobbs) Hayes; sister, Jo Hayes.
