Russell L. Robertson

Memorial services for Russell L. Robertson, 60, of Turley, were held Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Jerry Harper, Jr. officiated. Honorary casket bearers were Gary Cartwright, Mike McCall, William V. Turney, Scott Henderson, Kenneth “Cowboy” Kincade, and Robin Kallam.

Russell was born May 21, 1955 in Muskogee, OK to Russell Robertson and JoAnn (Prescott) McCarty. He passed away December 29, 2015 in Tulsa, OK.

Russell worked with the Tulsa County Maintenance Department District 1 for 13 years. He enjoyed going to the flea market and rummage sales, and spending time with his family and friends. Russell also enjoyed playing pool and bumper pool at home, and watching his dvd movies and action movies including Chuck Norris and Jackie Chan. He was a talented guitar and musician, singing country and western ballads and Elvis Presley songs. Everyone loved Russell and he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Robertson of Turley; sisters, Katie Kunz and husband Larry of Sperry, and Sheila Valencia of Tulsa; mother, JoAnn McCarty of Tulsa; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Robertson; and son, Wesley Robertson.
