Funeral services for Ronald Lloyd Greene, 70, of Canton, TX, were held Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Pastor David Payne officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Lee Roy Juby, Larry Juby, Tommy Juby, Ricky Juby, Jerry Juby, Tom Juby, Jr., and Corey Werner.
Ronald was born October 5, 1949 in Dallas, TX, to Lloyd Greene and Veneta (Harden) Hall. He passed away November 6, 2019 in Tyler, TX.
Ronald was a police officer and was a bodyguard for Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Mary Kay, President Ford during his visit to Dallas, and various others. He also worked security details for FEMA and for numerous other companies. Ronald was a Theft Prevention Associate for Wal-Mart. Ronald also had many other accomplishments during his life. He even made belts and gun holsters for a John Wayne movie.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Greene of Canton, TX; son, Ronald Hunter Greene of Canton, TX; sister, Jo Gail Phillips of Arlington, TX; brothers-in-law, Lee Roy Juby and wife, Ellie of Tulsa, Tommy Juby and wife, Margie, Jerry Juby and wife, Eunice, Ricky Juby and wife, Cindy of Sperry, and Larry Juby; numerous nieces and nephews; step-mom; Gail Greene of Fairfield, TX; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Greene and Veneta Hall; and grandparents, George and Willie Harden.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
