Memorial services for Roger Lee Turner, of Tulsa, were held Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Senior Citizen’s Center in Sperry, OK. Reverend Kerry Smith officiated and a private family interment followed.

Roger was born May 13, 1948 in Dallas, TX to Schuyler and Eleanor (Anderson) Turner. He passed away August 6, 2012 in Tulsa OK, at the age of 64.
Roger worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years and as a Courtesy Gate Attendant for the Skiatook Marina. He loved to go fishing and hunting. When he wasn’t hunting and fishing, you would find him out at the Casino somewhere. One of Roger’s favorite pastimes was going to the Sperry Café to grab a bite to eat.
He is survived by his children, Jeanette Robinson and husband Shane, Judy Nelson and husband Scott, June Sanders, Holly Turner and boyfriend Alex; grandchildren, Nastasia Robinson, Gabrielle Robinson, Rebecca Robinson, Bethanie Robinson, Ezekiel Robinson, Christopher Yarbro and Andrew Yarbro, Baron Nelson, Ashley Nelson, Chelsey Nelson, Alex, and Melody; step-grandchildren, Blake Nelson, and B.J. Nelson; mother, Eleanor Turner; brothers, Billy Ray Turner of Yuma, AZ, and Jim Turner of Sperry; sisters, Carol L. Smith and husband Kerry of Mountain View, AR and Nancy Matlock and husband Melvin (Matt) of Tacna, AZ; long-time girlfriend, Francis Watts, mother of Linda and Glenna, and grandmother to Brooke, Jade, and Autumn; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Sky Wayne Turner and Douglas Turner; sister, Connie Mae Turner; and father, Schuyler Turner.
