Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Allen Watkins, 83, of Skiatook were Tuesday, March 4 in the Remnant Church in Sperry.
The Elders C.H. Whiteman and Donnie Carter officiated. Burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery at Sperry, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sperry.
Pallbearers were Todd Grundy, Marshall Hampton, Ryan Grundy, Bob Rowden, Jeremy Teel and Lee Prince.
Vocalist was David Guthrie.
He was born July 6, 1924 in Crete, Ill., to Allen Rousseau and Bertha Cleo (Kindred) Watkins.
He died on Feb. 29, 2008.
The family moved to Turley in 1926 and he resided there until 1993 when he and his sister Janet moved to Skiatook. Early in his life he worked at the Turley Lumber Yard and for a local contractor building houses.
He was baptized into the RDLS Church in 1933 and ordained a Deacon in 1975.
He is survived by his sisters, Janet, Frances and Winifred; brother-in-law, Morton Hampton; two nieces; five nephews; three great-nieces; six great-nephews; three great-great nieces; one great-great nephew.
