Robert Chance Chooch Bushyhead

Funeral services for Robert Chance Chooch Bushyhead, 25, of Skiatook, OK, were held Saturday, May 14, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Pastor Rick Harvey officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were John Wallace, Ryan Harvey, Bryce Vaughn, Aleta Mullet, Jesse Freeman, and Joel Bushyhead. Honorary Casket bearers were Michael Ginn, and Marshall Hampton.

Robert was born June 13, 1996, in Tulsa, OK, to Timmy Joe Bushyhead and Tamie Jean (Coyle) Bushyhead. He passed away May 10, 2022, in Skiatook, OK.

Robert was an aficionado of videogaming – vintage to modern, a collector of rare, eccentric books: Peace of Mind was his favorite bookstore.  He was inspired by the full spectrum of art and science – from Salvador Dali, Cryptozoology, Ancient Civilizations, fossils and Geology, and the medicinal potential of mushrooms. He showed pigs and was a member of the Sperry 4-H and FFA. His favorite TV shows were Ancient Aliens and Ghost Adventures. Japan and its unique culture and food were a true and profound inspiration to Robert. He was a connoisseur of cheese --- a 100% Real Cheesehead – from brie to sharp cheddar, he loved them all and had a never-ending capacity for CHEEZ-ITs. Robert’s love of music was deep, soulful, and beyond his years. Ultimately, Robert was a collector – of love, family, friends, words, pets, treasures, laughs, and all the beauty and mysteries of the universe and beyond.

He is survived by his mother, Tamie McDermott, and husband, Andrew; father, Timmy Bushyhead, and wife, Mary; brother, Timothy Bushyhead, and wife, Julie; stepbrothers, AJ McDermott, and Michael Ginn, and wife, Courtney; stepsisters, Lindsay McDermott, and fiancé, Isiah Penny-Charette, Chelsea Chavez, and husband, Cisco Chavez; grandma and paw, Charlotte (Hanlin) Vaughn, and husband, Michael; step grandmother, Anita “Kim” (Hurd) Coyle; aunts and uncles, John and Jamie Wallace; Lisa Roberts, Ronnie Joe and Lynn Coyle, Jory and Vicki Bushyhead, Cheryl and Mark McQuown, Tim McDermott, Georgette McDermott, Lori Printy; John McDermott; cousins, Rachel Wallace-Auten, and husband, Tandy, Emily Roberts, Braedon Coyle and Joah Coyle; Scott and Tina Bushyhead, Joel and Jadea Bushyhead, Alyse Bushyhead, Jessie and Carl Klein, Cristle Timmons, Bryan McDermott, Dylan and Laura Mercier, Travis Printy, Nicole Printy, Shannon Printy, Bryce Vaughn, Madison Auten and Journee Jo Auten; niece, Aurora Florence Penny-Charette; furry family members, Captain, Marli, Nacho, and Gato; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his pepa and granny, Charles Wayne, and Imogene (Juby) Hanlin; grandma and grandpa, Joye and Jerry Ray; papa, Joseph Ronald Coyle; uncle, Bobby Bushyhead; and many other great aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.
