Riley C. Francis

Funeral services for Riley C. Francis, 76, of Tulsa, were held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Cody Osborn, Mike Osborn, Todd Brown, Daryl Francis, Lealand Francis, and Brian Osborn.

Riley was born April 3, 1939 in Tulsa, OK to Virgil Lee and Anna Estella (Linam) Francis. He passed away May 14, 2015 in Catoosa, OK.

Riley worked as a house painter. He loved to coon hunt, going fishing, attending horse shows, and going to the zoo. He loved bluegrass music and was a member of the Green Country Bluegrass Association. Riley was a well-known and gifted guitar player. He enjoyed spending hours in the boat teaching all the kids to Ski. He loved playing Pitch and watching cooking shows. Riley loved doing research to learn new things. He was so proud of his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

He is survived by his daughters, Diana and husband, Mike, of Catoosa, and Sandy and husband, Eddie, of Vera; son, Terry of Tulsa; granddaughter, Courtney and husband, Jesse, of Broken Arrow; grandson, Cody and wife, Cassi, of Catoosa; great-granddaughters, Emilee, Izzabella, and Estella; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Francis; mother, Estella Francis; father, Virgil Francis; sisters, Viola and Beatrice; and brothers, Marvin and Clell.
