Regina Darlene Powell

Funeral services for Regina Darlene Powell, 55, of Turley, OK, were held Monday, May 21, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Jim Harvey officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Christopher Knight, Michael Gragg, Heath Kelly, William Hunter, Randy Teague, and Alex Reyes. Honorary casket bearers were John Ray Blue, George W. Gragg, Richard Alvin Powell, Dustin Shelby Devin, and Jimmy Dean Frith.

Regina was born July 17, 1962 in Tulsa, OK to Charles Barton and Nancy Joyce (Powell) Ashlock. She passed away May 15, 2018 in Turley, OK.

Spending time with family was the most important thing for Regina. She had the biggest heart for people, sometimes to a fault. She always offered anyone at her house a plate of food, even strangers. Regina absolutely loved children and to laugh. She made the best out of any situation and lived her life exactly the way she wanted to live it. Some of the hobbies she loved included photography, helping those in need (especially strangers), going to garage sales because she loved a bargain, and child psychology. Regina was greatly loved by her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Robert William Leroy Grooms and wife, Jodi; daughters, Sabrina Cleo Grooms and Nancy Darlene Young; mother, Nancy Ashlock; sisters, Joyce Lee Devin and husband, Randy Teague, and Georgeanna Lynn Rooks and husband, Louis; brother, Jimmy Dean Frith; 13 grandchildren; 7 nieces and nephews; 5 great nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Joe Morris; father, Charles Barton, brother, Richard Alvin Powell, and grandfather, Alvin Sylvester Powell.
