Funeral services for Randy Eugene Thompson, 64, of Inola, OK, were held Friday, March 6, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Mr. Phillip Johnson officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Gaige Hodson, Ronnie Henry, Gairit Hodson, Colton Rowland, Matthew Gaines, Jonathan Thompson, Jeff Thompson, Kevin Thompson, R.J. Henry, Hunter Stetson, Roy Mitchell, Ava Henry, Kaydeance Thompson, Macy Thompson, Jhanessa Strope, Chuck Armstrong, Chelsea Rowland, Ronnie Thompson, Jr., Hope Hodson, Alissa Henry, Annah Glasco, Allie Henry, and a great-grandbaby on the way.
Randy was born May 27, 1955 in Steelville, MO to Otis and Blanche Valene (Turnbough) Thompson. He passed away March 3, 2020 in Inola, OK.
Randy was a truck driver for over 25 years. He was a devoted, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Randy loved to cook and enjoyed playing music, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a softball coach for 6 years and a baseball coach for 4 years. Randy loved his dogs, Sarge, Tucker and Daisey. Randy lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Teresa Dine of Tulsa; children, Jeff Thompson and wife, Amber of Sperry, Trish Gaines and Chuck Armstrong of Claremore, Michelle Hodson of Sperry and Kevin Thompson and wife, Lacey of Owego, NY; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Glasco of Owasso; grandkids, Ronnie and Alissa Henry, Macy Thompson, Matthew Gaines, Chelsea and Colton Rowland, Gaige Hodson, Gairit Hodson, Hope Hodson, Annah Glasco, Hunter Stetson, Kaydeance Thompson aka “Mudd Butt”, and Jhanessa Strope; great-grandkids, Allie Henry, R.J. Henry, III, Ava Henry and one on the way; brother, Ronnie Thompson and wife, Paulett of Barnsdall; aunt and uncle, Geraldine and Willis Callahan of Steelville, MO; cousin, Brenda Neff of Cuba, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Thompson; mother, Blanche Thompson; brother, Winifred Lindle Thompson; sister, Beverly Deloris Bishop; infant baby sister, Mary Lou Thompson; and sister-in-law, Cyrena Ann Thompson.
