Funeral services for Ralph Eugene Dean, of Owasso, were held Monday, July 8, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Owasso, OK. Reverend Chris Wall and Reverend Chad Balthrop officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Steve Dean, Greg Dean, Clint Dean, Keith Dean, Blake Hall, Richard Young, and Landon Bailey. Honorary casket bearers were Tyler Dean, Wyatt Dean, and Gunnar Young.

Ralph was born October 26, 1927 in Tulsa, OK to Ora Ivan and Myrle (McLaughlin) Dean. He passed away July 5, 2013 in Owasso, OK at the age of 85.

Ralph was raised in West Tulsa and graduated from Tulsa Webster High School. At Webster he excelled in football and baseball. Also while at Webster he met his future wife June Lane. After high school Ralph followed his Dad to work for the Texaco refinery in West Tulsa. He retired from Texaco in 1983 after 36 years of service. In his early years at Texaco he was active in fast pitch softball on a local and national level, attaining All American in two different seasons.

Ralph was active with the Future Farmers America from the years when his boys were members until late in his retirement years. He was a two time past President of the State FFA Alumni Association. For his work he was awarded the high honor of an Honorary American Farmer FFA Degree. Ralph was inducted in 1995 into the Tulsa Webster Hall of Fame. He was a life-long Baptist and a former Deacon at Sperry and for the past few years, he was an Usher at Owasso First Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, June Dean; children, Kenneth Dean, Arthur Dean and wife Sharon, Walter Dean and wife Edie, and Scott Dean and wife Terrena; grandchildren, Steve Dean, Greg Dean, Clint Dean, and Keith Dean, Lacy Bailey, April Dean, Lori Dean, Adley Dean, and Kenna Hall; great-grandchildren, Haley, McKenzie, Tyler, Wyatt, Gunnar, Carson, Aiden, Ashlyn, Kipton, Jaylee, and Kase; sisters, Virginia Apker, and Brenda Timmons; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Vicki; granddaughter, Ravyn Dean; brother, Kenneth; and parents, Ora and Myrle Dean.
