Funeral services for Phyllis Jean (Smith) Parks, of Ramona, were held Friday, December 7, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Mr. Phillip Johnson officiated and burial was in Ramona Cemetery in Ramona, OK. Casket bearers were Kenneth Parks, Sr., Willis Catcher, Jody Vann, Everett Caseboldt, Zachary Reed, Michael Parrett, and Robert Sparks. Honorary casket bearers were Jimmy Vann, Jerry Money, Cody Smith, Robert Johnson, John Honsburger, and Ben Standley.
Phyllis was born September 24, 1947 in Wichita, KS to Fay William and Edna Mae (Roberts) Smith. She passed this life December 3, 2012 in Ramona, OK at the age of 65.
Phyllis was employed with Tri-State Motor Transit Company. She was a God fearing woman that was strong in her faith. Phyllis attended church at Victory Christian Church in Tulsa. Her hobbies were reading, playing video games on the computer, and crocheting. Her family was very important to her.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Parks, Sr. and wife Marla of Bartlesville; daughters, Barcie Vann and husband Jimmy of Sallisaw, Ruth Coy of the home, and Jeane Caseboldt of Onaway, MI; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samie Ray Parks, Sr.; son, Samie Ray Parks, Jr.; and parents, Fay and Edna Smith.
