Pete, a cherished member of our community, whose life was a testament to kindness, and generosity, was born August 20, 1942, in Wilburton, OK, to Jim K. Wade and Treva Rose (Wilkie) Wade. He passed away March 3, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.
During his youthful days, Pete could be found exploring the streets on his bicycle, as he tirelessly tended to lawns for different people across town. His work ethic knew no bounds as he hauled his equipment behind him. A true lover of classic westerns and country music, Pete's passion for everything western was evident to all of those who knew him. In addition to his love for old westerns, Pete possessed a great talent for lawn mower mechanics and had a knack for repairing different models of mowers with ease. Pete's most remarkable trait was his amazing memory, like that of an elephant. If you borrowed something from him, he would be sure to remind you about it if you didn’t bring it back in a timely manner. Beyond his talents and remarkable memory, Pete's true legacy lies in the warmth of his spirit and the kindness of his heart. Through his example, he imparted invaluable lessons of compassion and love, forever enriching the lives of those around him. This helped him draw and keep his family close. Although Pete may have completed his earthly mission, his family takes solace in knowing that his journey continues in heaven where his reward will surely be special.
He is survived by his brothers, Troy Wade, Manford A.E. Wade, Houston Wade and Mike Wade and wife, Rhonda; sister, Toni Kreger and husband, Ron; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Jim and Treva Wade; and sisters, Patty Belt, and Becky Clark.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
