Phebe Ann Lavon (Landis) Coon

Graveside services for Phebe Ann Lavon (Landis) Coon, 85, of Avant, were held Friday, November 11, 2016 at Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Mr. Phillip Johnson officiated.

Phebe was born October 13, 1931 in Avant, OK to Clyde Ross and Minnie Lee (Ingram) Landis. She passed away November 8, 2016 in Owasso, OK.

Phebe was a licensed barber for 33 years from 1968 – 2001. She opened the city barbershop in Skiatook in August of 1987. This shop is still owned and operated by two generations of family. Phebe enjoyed painting. She enjoyed painting barns, scenery and landscapes, various animals and hoot owls. Phebe even took several art classes and discovered that she was a natural. She loved to paint pictures for her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil Coon of Avant; children, Carol Barker of Avant, Debra Clare and husband David of Norman, and Tammie Webb and husband Lindell of Skiatook; grandchildren, Erin Latty and husband Tony of Avant, Justin Clare of Norman, Samuel Armentor of Skiatook, Lucas Armentor of Skiatook and Dagan Webb of Tulsa; great-grandchildren, Tate Waddle and wife Briana , Addison Reeves, Liberty Latty, Taylor Clare, Lane Armentor, Austin Armentor, Ryan Armentor, Autumn Armentor and Calissta Armentor; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Minnie Landis.
