Funeral Services for Peggy LaJune (Wixon) Lewis, 69, of Tulsa, were held Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Elder Connie Bias officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were William Harjo, Eric Wixon, Robert Edward Wixon, Jr., Nolan Smith, Scott Gann, and Robert Howard. Honorary Casket Bearers were Darel Lewis, Jim Crafton, Bing Gann, Floyd Springer, Terry Young, Robert Edward Wixon, III, and Billy Wolfe. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Peggy was born August 1, 1944 in Tulsa, OK to Ira Epple, Jr. and Juanita (Miller) Wixon. She passed away October 20, 2013 in Tulsa, OK.

Peggy was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family .She worked for Southwestern Bell for several years right out of high school, and held various other positions before her retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Peggy received several bowling trophies with her sister, Donna and mother Juanita, while on several leagues including the Calico Gals, Early Risers, and the Summer Playgirls. She also loved going to concerts.

She is survived by her husband Eddie Lewis of Tulsa; daughter, Shelly Lewis of Tulsa; grandson, William Harjo and wife Tracy of Tulsa, great-grandchildren, Megan, Nolan, William Dallas, and David all of Tulsa; sister, Donna Crafton and husband Jim of Sapulpa, brother, Robert Edward Wixon and wife Janet of Tulsa; nieces, Traci Lawley of Sapulpa and Trina Haggard of Owasso; nephews, Scott Gann of Bristow, Robert Edward Wixon, Jr. of Tulsa, and Eric Wixon of Tulsa; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira, Jr. and Juanita Wixon; and grandparents, Frank and Mallie Miller.
