Peggy O'Neil (Hanlon) Dorn

Graveside Services for Peggy O'Neil Dorn, 83, of Tulsa, were held Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. The Reverend Adam Stang officiated. Honorary Casketbearers were Robert Stevens, Michael Snyder, Chris Harper, and Daryl Owens. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Peggy was born August 14, 1926 in Turley, OK to Michael Patrick and Capitolia (Laughery) Hanlon. She passed away April 24, 2010 in Skiatook, OK.

Peggy was a graduate of Central High School in Tulsa. She worked as an Executive Secretary for the Exploration and Production Department at Skelly Oil Company until she retired. Peggy was also an avid reader, bowler, and fisherman. She was a sharp wit and had a wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by her sister, Nadine Lee of Turley; sons, Jim Snyder of Tulsa and Stephen Snyder and wife Emily of Tulsa; grandchildren, Pamela Rowan and husband Jason of Kansas City, MO, Chris Harper and partner Kandi Murray of Tulsa, Stephanie Sweet and partner Tony Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, and Michael Snyder and wife Meghan of Kansas City, MO; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and one on the way; as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Miller; mother, Capitolia Staley; father, Michael Hanlon; step-father, Jim Staley; grandfather, Mark Eustice "Papa" Hanlon; brothers, Bill Staley and Ivan Staley; nieces, Sue Kendall and Kathy Spurgeon; and nephew, Jim Lee, II.
