Patricia Lynn Lefler-Mallard

Patricia Lynn “Patty” Lefler-Mallard, 69, of Tulsa, OK, was born March 31, 1955, in Fairfax County, VA, to James Herbert Lefler and Anita Jo (Dean) Lefler. She passed away June 23, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.

Patty was one lucky lady because she got to watch so many of her dreams come true. At a very young age, Patty received her pilot’s license for the Piper Club plane. She loved to cook, and anyone who ever spent any amount of time at her house should know that. She loved cooking so much, she went to culinary school and graduated from Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Patty also retired from doing what she loved, as she was a Kitchen Manager for Tulsa Public Schools for many years. When Patty wasn’t working, she spent a lot of time with all of her friends. They were called “The Ladies of the Long Table” The table started with only a few special ladies but over the years, has grown to sometimes more than one table. They spent a lot of time at Ed’s Hurricane Lounge, going to lunch, or preparing for some of the best parties ever! Patty loved all of the ladies and even their old men so much! Patty also loved traveling. We got to watch more of Patty’s dreams come true through her dogs, from little yorkies to great danes, to their last dogs that were a German shepherd and a Malinois. Patty loved animals so much, she even had a parrot named Spanky…Man he had stories to tell. Sometimes it was even in Ron’s voice.

We all got to watch one of Patty’s greatest dreams come true when she married the man of her dreams. Ron and Patty had dated casually on and off for 40 plus years but finally on May 8, 2021, they were married. They had one of the most beautiful weddings; Patty smiled so big and could tell how much Ron meant to her. Patty always loved Ron and finally he was her for keeps. Patty loved riding on the back of Ron’s bike and looked good doing it. Patty loved the home that her and Ron had built so much!

We all have many more memories of Patty and her accomplishments. This is just a tiny taste of it all. One of the things Patty was best known for was how accepting and loving she was to everyone. Patty was a loving woman with a HUGE family, both blood related and friends who became chosen family. We all have many different memories, but I can tell you a few memories we all share; memories of the fun and joy that followed Patty everywhere she went. Memories of a wonderful woman who was accepted and loved by everyone. Patty is now resting in the arms of God. Soon she will be dancing all over heaven. No pain, no sickness. She will always be with us in our hearts and memories. Think of her anytime you see a hummingbird fly by. She may be gone but will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Mallard; brother, David Lefler; sister, Jennifer Lefler; nephews, Ken Lang, Chris Lang, Mike Lang, and Dan Byre; cousins, Deborah Strother, Michael Bennett, Beverly Neal, Betty Bills, Sandy Anderson, and Pam Anderson; her beloved dogs, Max, Ruby and Marley; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anita Jo Lefler; stepmother, Earlene Lefler; sister, Linda Lang; and brother, Alan Lefler.

Memorial services will be held at God’s Shining Light Church in Tulsa, OK at a later date.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
