Memorial services for Pamela Joyce “Pam” Dobbs, 63, of Sperry, were held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Donnajo Hyatt officiated.
Pam was born April 20, 1955 in Tulsa, OK to Morris Wayne Dempsey and Lula Rose (Marshall) Wilson. She passed away February 18, 2019 in Tulsa, OK.
Pam was a 1973 graduate of McClain High School and she was a proud “Northsider.” She worked in her brother Mike’s home taking care of him for the last decade. She loved being a constant emotional support for her family. She opened her home to welcome many of her children’s friends and other family members and offered them a place to live out the years. Her caretaking also included a great many family pets who were all rescued and very much loved. Pam was a life-long fan of The Beatles and she loved going to Beatles conventions. Some of the hobbies she enjoyed included gardening in her flower bed, going to concerts, completing crosswords and puzzles, watching her St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and baking Christmas goods. She was beloved by everyone who knew her and will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Balinda Schell, Angie and Chris Ormiston, and Kalena Dobbs; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Becky Spencer, Karen Dempsey, and Marsha Carmack; brother, Mike Wilson; a host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Dobbs; mother, Lula Wilson; father, Morris Dempsey; and life-long friend, Terrie Ray.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
