Graveside Services for Otis Eugene Wilkinson, 91, of Turley, were held Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Hillside Mission Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Chaplain Bob Cooper, Jr. and Grand Master Edgar Williams officiated. Casket Bearers were Members of the Turley IOOF Lodge # 28. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
Otis was born September 29, 1922 in Tulsa, OK to Edward Henry and Ruby Opal (Davis) Wilkinson. He passed away April 3, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.
Otis was a lifelong carpenter, farmer and cattleman. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Turley Independent Order of Odd Fellow Lodge # 28 for over 61 years. Otis liked to go fishing and bowling, and loved to collect antique bricks, barbed wire, railroad nails, insulators, bottles, farm machinery and tools. Otis and Melba just celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on March 20, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Jean Wilkinson of Turley; son, Ken Wilkinson of Turley; grandchildren, Kevin Trantham of Tulsa, Stacey Hollars of Owasso, Michelle Brooks and husband Mike of Tulsa, and Deborah Hellard and husband Dustin of Owasso; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Wilkinson and wife Ella Mae of OK, and Dean Wilkinson of OK; sister, Judy McCourt of Tulsa; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ruby Wilkinson; daughter, Donna Jean Trantham; sister, Dorothy; and brothers, Russell Wilkinson, and Daniel Wilkinson.
