Memorial Services for Oren Manford Doerr, 68, of Sperry, were held Tuesday November 24, 2009 at the Community of Christ Church in Sperry, Oklahoma. The Elder Roy Gaddy officiated. Honorary Casket Bearers were Gene Hallebaugh, Melvin Byrd, Joe Romine, Billy Thompson. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
He worked as a tool and jig builder at McDonnell Douglas until his retirement. He served in the Army National Guard from 1960 to 1966. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He enjoyed working in his garden. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Oren Manford Doerr was born January 18, 1941 in Sperry, Oklahoma to Carl and Susie Doerr. He passed away November 21, 2009.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carolyn Doerr; daughters, Janey Thompson and husband Billy of Sperry, Jennifer Freeny and husband Billy of Sperry; sons, Justin Doerr and wife Tabatha of Coweta, Johnny Ray Doerr and wife Lisa, and Charles Doerr; Grandsons, Tyler Thompson, Braden Doerr, and Blayne Doerr; Granddaughters, Addisyn Freeny and Chloe Doerr
He was preceded in death by by his parents, Carl and Susie (Starks) Doerr; brother, Wayne Doerr.
