Norman Duane "Sonny" Reno

Graveside services for Norman Duane “Sonny” Reno, 85, of Tulsa, OK, were held Saturday, October 26, 2024, at McLaughlin Cemetery in Cleora, OK. Reverend Tom Branch, officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Mike Millard, Joey Parker, Joey Montalvo, Noah Parker, and Max Parker.

Sonny was born May 6, 1939, in Vinita, OK, to Samuel Truman and Reno and Julia Ann (Creason) Reno. He passed away October 21, 1924, in Tulsa, OK.

Sonny grew up on a farm in Vinita and later graduated from Webster High School in Tulsa. He later joined the United States Army. Upon returning from duty, he went on to become an automotive mechanic for many years. He absolutely loved his animals

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Sharon Kay Blackburn, Donna J. Elder and husband, Larry, Janice E Millard, Cecil J Reno, and Carol Montalvo; a host of great nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Julia Reno; brothers, Truman J Reno, George E. Reno, and Lloyd Eston Reno; sisters, Delma P. Millard, Thelma Ruth Reno, and Zelma Jewell Reno.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
