Graveside services for Nancy Lou (Remington) Smith, of Owasso, were held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Charley Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Monsignor Daniel Mueggenborg officiated and a Cherokee dedication was given by Robert Sisk. Casket bearers were David George, Robert Sisk, Sam Tiblow, Doug Tiblow, Duane Tiblow, and Bobby Remington, Jr. Honorary casket bearers were Jerry McCann, Rick George, Chris Remington, Pat McCutchen, Roger McCutchen, Steve Packard, and Mike Atkins.
Nancy was born July 30, 1954 in Tulsa, OK to Bob and Norma (Tiblow) Remington. She passed away August 30, 2011 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 57.
Nancy worked at St. John Medical Center in the Business Office. She was a loving mother and she loved to cook. She enjoyed playing golf and going to the beach. Nancy was very creative through her artwork. She loved people and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Beau Britney Smith; son, Brady Dwight Smith; father, Bobby Wayne Remington, sisters, Barbara Atkins and husband Mike, and Brenda Packard and husband Steve; brother, Bobby Wayne Remington, Jr.; nephews, Chris Remington, Aaron Remington, Drew Packard, Wes Packard, Sammy Remington, Shane Remington, and Zachory Smith; nieces, Bobbie Jo Smith- Campbell and Chelsea Smith; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Jean Remington.
