Funeral Service for Mildred Esther (Beeson) Queen, 88, of Sperry, was held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Blanchard, OK. Mildred’s grandson, Rev. Isaac Queen, officiated and burial was in Blanchard Cemetery in Blanchard, OK. Casket bearers were Hannah Saballa, C.J. Queen, Josh Griffis, Sarah Faglie, Allen Yanik, and Jack Queen. Honorary casket bearers were Jim Queen, Greg Queen, Daniel Queen, Caleb Griffis, Ben Griffis, Lane Lyons, Jonah Whitson, and Shaddox Swires.

Mildred was born November 22, 1931 in Cassville, MO to Roy Kenneth and Della Josephine (Morgan) Beeson. She passed away July 12, 2020 at home in Sperry, OK.

Mildred was the twelfth of fourteen children born to Roy K. and Josephine Beeson. She graduated from Cassville High School in 1949 and graduated from Business College in Tulsa where she met her future husband Don. Mildred and Don were married on June 8, 1951 and celebrated 66 years of marriage before Don’s passing on August 15, 2017. Mildred was a devoted pastor’s wife serving beside her husband for over 60 years while rearing their six children. Mildred was the personification of the Proverbs 31 wife. Mildred had a true servant’s heart and continued to share the love of Jesus until her death. All of her grandchildren, whether great or grand, will tell you she loved them with all her heart and loved to spend time with them.

She is survived by her children, James Queen of Tulsa, Greg Queen and wife, Kelly of Blanchard, and Paula Queen-Yanik and husband, Allen of Yukon; grandchildren, Jennifer Queen, Jack Queen, Becca Whitson, Josh Griffis, Hannah Saballa, Rachel Cain, Caleb Griffis, Leah Corbin, Ben Griffis, Rachel Swires, Isaac Queen, C.J. Queen, Daniel Queen, Lindsay Queen, Sarah Faglie, and Lauren Rowland; 27 great-grandchildren, (two of those being twin girls born the day after her death); brothers, Wayne Beeson of Hobbs, NM, Don Beeson and wife, Margaret, Mitchell Beeson and wife, Joan of Cassville, MO, and Chuck Beeson and wife, Leslie of Coweta, OK; sister-in-law, Martha Hughes and husband, Buryl of Sperry; brothers-in-law, Bob Sager of Sugarland, TX, Mark Queen and wife Cathy of Sperry, OK and Phil Queen and wife Jeanne of The Woodlands, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews,  and cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Queen; children, Donald Raymond Queen Jr., Teresa Lynn Griffis, and Charles Haddon Queen; five sisters, four brothers; parents, Roy and Josephine Beeson; and father and mother-in-law, Jack and Thelma Queen.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
