Graveside services for Michelle Dawn McGee, 50, of Tulsa, were held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Bishop Carl D. Morley officiated. Honorary casket bearers were Robert McGee, Andrew McGee, Giorgio McGee and Sidney McGee.
Michelle was born March 20, 1967 in Tulsa, OK to Robert Lowell and Ethel Diane (Holmes) McGee. She passed away January 19, 2018 in Tulsa, OK.
Michelle graduated from Central High School in Tulsa. Everyone will agree that Michelle left this earth entirely too early, but she definitely made the most of her time here. Michelle worked in Tulsa as a home health aide and would often comment how great her job was. She loved her work and helping others. She also worked in customer service at several convenience stores in the Tulsa area. Michelle was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attended the Tulsa 3rd Ward growing up. She always remembered her friends Lisa Morgan, Holly Hofmann and Annette Richins. Without question though, her best friend was Shaundra Bess. The two spent a lot of time together growing up and remained friends for their entire lives. The two could be caught doing Karaoke quite often together. She would love to sing country music while she was on stage. Everyone would all love to be there one more time just to watch her sing. Michelle would use this talent to sing in choirs as much as she could. Michelle had a happy go lucky personality and loved to have fun. She loved watching TV and her top shows included Dr. Phil and WWE Wrestling. Michelle was also a huge fan of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Those that knew her said she loved to cook and made many great meals for them. It was a true love for her. She loved to make meatballs and bake bread. Michelle also loved to spend time at the casino to try her luck at many of the games they offered. Like most of us, she ended up on the short end of the gambling stick, but it was mostly about having fun and spending time with friends. Her dad also took her square dancing quite often and he said that she took lessons many times with them. Michelle touched many lives during her time here with us and will always be fondly remembered by her friends and family
She is survived by her sons, Robert McGee and Andrew McGee; brothers, Giorgio McGee and Sidney McGee; father, Bob McGee; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel McGee.
