Funeral Services for Maxine A. Hardie, 89, of Owasso, were held Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Osage Oaks Church of God in Sperry, OK. The Pastor Jerry Harper, Mr. Hugh D. Hardie, and Pastor Doyle Ginn officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were Bill Hardie, Melvin Brown, Ronnie Miller, Clyde Harding, John Hardie, Robert Harding, Jim Hardie, Ben Brown, and Mike Miller. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Maxine was born September 1, 1924 in Cooper, OK to Elic and Nannie Laura (White) Hunter. She passed away January 5, 2014 in Owasso, OK.

Maxine was a loving wife and mother. She was kind and helpful with the heart of a servant for the needy. She volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, youth leader and the PTA president. She was a charter member of McCook Christian Church in McCook, NE and a charter member of the Sperry Senior Citizens. She was active in numerous other organizations. Maxine was an excellent seamstress. She loved to crochet, quilt, paint, play bridge, dominos and other table games. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Steven Ronald Hardie and wife Betty of Collinsville, Andrea Kay Martin and husband Don of Sperry, Robert Charles Hardie and wife Norma of Chappell Hill, TX; grandchildren, Jeff Hardie, Scott Hardie, Chris Kester, Maggie Hardie. Tucker Hardie, and Samuel Hardie; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Fred A. Hardie; infant daughter, Ramona Ann Hardie; parents, Elic and Nannie Hunter; and two sisters.
