Memorial Services for Maxine Joy (Webster) Shanahan-Brustick, 79, of Skiatook, were held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Skiatook, OK. Brother Phil Salingue officiated. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
Maxine was born November 16, 1933 in Red Bluff, CA to Joseph and Vera (Watts) Webster. She passed away October 11, 2013 in Tulsa, OK from complications of her medical conditions.
Maxine worked in the medical field as an x-ray technician in Ventura, CA, and for Morton Health Center in Tulsa for 30 years. She was very active in the Jehovah’s Witness religion and loved by everyone she knew. Maxine was very witty and loved joke books, watching old movies and the latest news on TV, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved her dog, Buttons who passed earlier this year, and her five cats. Maxine will be missed immensely.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura Morehead of Vista, CA and Mary Brustick of Skiatook; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends, all who loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Shanahan; second husband, Charles Brustick; son, Rick Shanahan; daughter, Karen Shanahan; mother, Vera Webster; father, Joseph Webster; sister, Evelyn Seavers; and brothers, Stan Webster, Don Webster, and Allan Webster.
