Mary Lea Emery

Funeral services for Mary Lea Emery, 62, of Tulsa, were held Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Susan Whitley officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK.

Mary was born December 6, 1955 in Tulsa, OK to Billie E. and Mary B. (Bussman) Emery. She passed away February 6, 2016 in Muskogee, OK.

Mary was a volunteer at the Oklahoma Heart Institute. She was an active member of the Turley United Methodist Church when she was able and was very committed to keeping her faith strong. She loved music, especially gospel music. Mary loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her father, Billie E. Emery of Skiatook; brother, Fredrick Emery of Turley; an aunt from Kansas; several nieces and nephews located throughout Oklahoma; several cousins located throughout Oklahoma and Arkansas; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary B. Emery; and one infant brother.
