Funeral Services for Mary Lou King, 80, of Sperry, were held Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Community of Christ Church in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Bill Taylor and the King family officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were Jeff Keiffer, Ty Harper, Jimmy Keiffer, James Stephens, John King, and Mouse Casillas. Honorary casket bearers were William King, Shawna Kelem, Andrea Woodroof, Jolena McCord, Sarah Casillas, Kristen Perigo, KJ Shook, Becky Pruitt, and Chasity Hansen. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
Mary was born February 11, 1928 in Bartlesville, OK to Roy Elbert and Enid Catherine (Billbe) Long. She passed away February 10, 2009 in Skiatook, OK.
She managed the King family laundry. She loved to dance and to fish.
She is survived by her children, Janet Freeman and husband Robert of Skiatook, Dave King and wife Alane of Sperry, Sharon Harper and husband Terry of Skiatook, and Karon Roberts and husband Jerry of Skiatook; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Hilda Cumberland of Philadelphia, MS; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Lynn Smith; parents, Roy and Enid Long; brothers, Ralph Long and Marland Long; and sister, Margaret Hill.
