Mary Jane was born on November 19, 1927, in Skiatook, OK, to Herbert Frazier and Ollie Beatrice (Hogue) Hilderbrand. She went to be with her loving husband, Herbert on September 18, 2023.
Her heavenly father called her home to be with her heavenly family. We were so lucky to have her with us for 95 years. What a joy she has been for everyone. Smart, witty, and so funny. Mary Jane loved life and loved her family deeply. She always worried and took care of everyone. What can you say about a woman who lived for almost 96 years? She was raised by Ollie and Onie Griggs and lived her entire life in Sperry, OK. She graduated from Sperry High School in 1946 and attended Central State University. Mary Jane married Herbert R. Hanlin on March 4, 1949. They had been married for 57 years at the time of his passing in 2006. She was a Statistical Typist with Insurers Indemnity, Texas Pipeline, and Seigfreid Insurance. Mary Jane’s final career was with Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 25 years until her retirement in 1987. She was awarded the Longtimer’s Award of Sperry in 2016 at Old West Fest and we were so proud. Mary Jane was a long-time member of the Community of Christ Church in Sperry. She loved to craft, square dance, read, work crossword puzzles, and lived to shop. And boy, did she shop. Mary Jane also enjoyed spending time with her friend, Joyce Robinson. If you saw one of them, you saw both of them. They were true friends. Momma always thought about her family, took great care of them, and spoiled her grandchildren. Whenever we left her, she ALWAYS told us to “Be careful, I love you”.
“Momma, be careful, we love you, you finally made it home”
She is survived by her children, Reegana Bradley and husband, Len, of Langley, Deedra Hunt and Jon Brim of Tulsa, and Kevin Hanlin of Tulsa; grandchildren, Chad Wright of Tulsa, Jodie Jackson and husband, Dan, of Stillwater, Shawna Eacret and husband, Gill of Tulsa and Alex Hanlin of Sapulpa, Kim Bradley of Owasso, Heather Wright and husband, Mike, of Sperry, Jeremy Brim and wife, Ashley, of Tulsa, Zane Brim and fiancée, Angela, of Lee Summit, MO, Alexa Cox and husband, Rusty of Wichita, KS and Aleah Rosser of Sapulpa; great-grandchildren, Hannah Wright, Mia Wright of Tulsa, Lisa Milner of Owasso, Lily Wright, Bradley Wright of Sperry, Nash Jackson, Jaycie Jackson of Stillwater, Adison Whitty of Sutton, NH, Braxton Brim, Britton Brim of Tulsa, Cruz Brim of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Owen Eacret of Tulsa.
