Mary Alice (Ellis) Holycross

Funeral services for Mary Alice (Ellis) Holycross, 88, of Tulsa, OK, were held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Guiding Light Tabernacle in Tulsa, OK. Pastor Audrey Poteet and Pastor Patricia Poole officiated, and burial was in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK. Casket bearers were Jimmie Torres, Nathan Thompson, TeeJay Thompson, Nolan Holycross, Dylan Thompson, and Alayna Torres. Honorary Casket bearers were Chris Phelan, Thai Thompson, Michael Graham, Nick Holycross, Rick Holycross, and Forrest Holycross.

Mary was born November 1, 1933, in Cayuga, IN, to Clarence Ward and Jane Ellen (Henderson) Ellis. She passed away July 16, 2022, in Tulsa, OK.

Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, studying and teaching the Bible and attending her church, Guiding Light Tabernacle.

She is survived by her son, Roger Holycross of Turley; daughter, Carrol Graham of Turley; son, Mike Holycross and wife, Sharon of Mannford; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren, and two more on the way; four sisters; two brothers; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Ellis; mother, Jane Ellis; husband, Forrest Holycross; son, Rick Holycross; granddaughter, Cheresa Holycross; six brothers; and five sisters.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
