Graveside services for Mary Lou (Brown) Perryman, 90, of Skiatook, OK, were held Monday, August 26, 2024, at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK. Pastor Brent White officiated. Casket bearers were Martin Perryman, Donald Perryman, Bryan Perryman, Adam Perryman, Trevor Jones, and Jay Jones. Honorary Casket bearers were Paul Perryman, Bill Korver, Kim Jones, Nik Jones, and Larry Hill.
Mary was born April 21, 1934, in Tulsa, OK, to Harry C. Brown and Carrie Etta (Cunningham) Brown. She passed away August 19, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.
Mary was a wife, a mother to two children, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and an amazing mother-in-law. She worked for Meadow Gold Dairy Company in the accounting department and worked her way up to the Head of the department over the 36 years she worked for the company. Richard and Mary enjoyed fishing, camping, taking long trips and visiting the many large national parks around the country. Mary enjoyed the many large family gatherings and fish fries that she and Richard hosted at their home in Skiatook over the years. In the early 60’s, Mary served as President and various other offices like Secretary and Treasurer of the American Business Women’s Association.
She is survived by her children, Richard Perryman and wife, Cleo, and Debby Wair; grandchildren, Bryan Perryman and wife, Melissa, and Adam Perryman and wife, Natasha; great-grandchildren, George Perryman, Annabelle Perryman, Avi Joy Perryman, Nehemiah Perryman and Karrington Perryman; great-great-grandchild, Cayton Perryman; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Perryman; parents, Harry and Carrie Brown; brothers, Bobbie Brown and Morris Brown; and sister, Frances Jones.
Memorial donations in Mary’s memory in lieu of flowers may be made to Skiatook Paws and Claws Animal Rescue, 4605 W C Rogers Blvd., Skiatook, OK 74070. Donations may also be made to the Tulsa City-County Library at https://www.tulsalibrary.org/donate
